Masayoshi Son
Chairman & CEO, SoftBank Group Corp, Tokyo
A visionary entrepreneur and investor, Masa, Representative Director, Corporate Officer, Chairman & CEO of SoftBank Group Corp, likes to venture into unchartered territory. He was early in broadband, early in mobile, early in China, early in India, and early in AI, all with great success. We are bringing this same approach of being “early” to Latin America.

Alex Clavel
Co-CEO, SoftBank Investment Advisers, New York
Alex oversees SoftBank Investment Advisers' daily operations and its U.S. and Latin America investment teams. He joined SoftBank in 2015 after nearly 20 years at Morgan Stanley in investment banking in New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Alex holds a degree in East Asian Studies from Princeton University and speaks Mandarin Chinese, French, and (conversational) Japanese.

Alex Szapiro
Managing Partner and Head of Brazil, São Paulo
Alex co-leads the Latin America Funds. He brings more than 25 years of experience managing corporate and entrepreneurial ventures at leading technology companies across Brazil. Prior to joining Softbank, he was country manager of Amazon Brazil, responsible for initiating startup operations in the country and executing long-term expansion strategies. Prior to that, Alex was country manager of Apple and Palm in Brazil. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of leadership and managerial positions at OfficeNet, Submarino, Motorola, and Citibank.

Juan Franck
Managing Partner and Head of Mexico, Mexico City
Juan co-leads Latin America Funds. He has been at Softbank since 2019. Prior to that, he led growth investments in Spanish-speaking Latin America for Temasek Holdings and worked as an investment banker at Barclays Capital in New York. Juan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an Industrial Engineering degree from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA).

Artur Gushiken
Director, Miami
Artur is an investment director for SoftBank in Latin America. Previously, he worked at Goldman Sachs in the Tech, Media, and Telecom group in New York. Prior to that, he worked on the M&A team at Banco Fator (São Paulo).

Benjamin Lizana
Director, Miami
Benjamin is an investment director for SoftBank in Latin America. Previously he worked at Southern Cross Group, overseeing Chilean investments and portfolio management. Prior to that, he worked for three years on the JP Morgan Latin America Advisory team.

Eduardo Vieira
Chief Marketing & Communications, São Paulo
Eduardo leads marketing, corporate communications, content, events, partnerships and institutional relations for LatAm, in addition to providing strategic consultancy to the main portfolio companies in the region. Previously he was a partner at WPP Plc., co-founder of Esfera Brasil, CEO of H+K Strategies and Ogilvy PR for LatAm and founder of Ideal. He is the author of the book Os Bastidores da Internet.

Ivan Ribeiro
Director, Seattle
Ivan is an investment director for SoftBank in Latin America. He has more than 10 years of global experience in strategy, e-commerce, logistics, and product development. Previously he worked at Amazon and The Boston Consulting Group.

Joaquin Perez Alati
Head of Legal, Senior Counsel, Miami
Joaquin leads the negotiation of investments, divestments and other legal matters for the Latin America Funds and Vision Funds. He joined SoftBank in September 2021. Prior to that he worked at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York City and at PAGBAM in Buenos Aires. He holds an L.L.M. (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar Award) from Columbia Law School and a degree in law from Universidad de Buenos Aires.

Maria Tereza Azevedo
Director, São Paulo
Maria Tereza is an investment director for SoftBank in Latin America. Previously she worked as executive director at Santander and UBS Investment Bank as the head of LatAm Education and Technology, Media and Telecommunications sectors.

Mariana Seixas
Head of Legal, Senior Counsel, Miami
Mariana leads negotiations for investments, strategic transactions, and other fund activities for the Latin America Funds and Vision Funds. Prior to joining SoftBank, she was a senior associate at White & Case LLP. She has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. She is a lecturer on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and women empowerment.

Rodrigo Costa
Partner, Miami
Rodrigo is a partner for SoftBank in Latin America. Previously, he worked as an investor at TPG Growth and L Catterton. Rodrigo began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst for Goldman Sachs in New York.
